Health Hazards(Acute and Chronic): High airborne concentrations of spray may cause damage to upper respiratory tract.  Skin contact with cause burns; will cause severe burns to eyes, may cause permanent damage or blindness.  May burn tissue of mucous membranes, throat, etc if ingested.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Primary irritant dermatitis.  Burns, resulting in frequently deep ulceration and ultimate scarring.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures: Eyes and skin – Flush immediately with large amounts of water.  Get medical attention for any residual irritation, immediately for eyes.  Ingestion – Do NOT induce vomiting.  Administer large quantities of water, tomato or orange juice, or carbonated soft drinks.  Get medical attention immediately.  Inhalation – remove to fresh air.  Administer oxygen or artificial respiration if necessary.  Get immediate medical attention.

 

SECTION VII . Precautions for Safe Handling and Use

Steps to Be Taken In Case Material is Released or Spilled: Contain spill.  Pick up with absorbent, vacuum, neutralize remaining traces of material with dilute inorganic acid, then flush area with liberal covering of sodium bicarbonate.  Reuse spilled material if possible.

Waste Disposal Method: Neutralize with a mild acid to ph of 7.  Dispose of as normal detergent waste according to federal, state and local authorities.

Precautions For Storing and Handling: Avoid body contact.  Spillage may be slippery.

Other Precautions: Avoid contact with strong acids and rapid temperature increases.
