SECTION IV - FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
Flash Point (Method Used): 106 deg. F TCC
Flammable limits: LEL: 0.9 UEL: 6.0
Extinguishing Media: Polar solvent (alcohol), foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Self contained breathing apparatus and full bunker gear recommended for fire fighters. Water may be unsuitable as an extinguishing media, but helpful in keeping adjacent containers cool.
: Containers exposed to intense heat from fire should be cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure buildup which could result in container rupture. Container areas exposed to direct flame should be cooled with large quantities of water to prevent weakening of container structure.

Stability: Unstable [ ] Stable [X]
Conditions to Avoid: None
Incompatibility (materials to avoid): Avoid heat, open flame, and contact with strong oxidizing agents such as liquid chlorine, concentrated oxygen, sodium or calcium hypochlorite.
Hazardous Decomposition or Byproducts: Carbon monoxide and unidentified organic compounds during combustion.
Hazardous Polymerization May occur [ ] Will not occur [X]
SECTION VI . Health Hazard Data
Route(s) of entry Inhalation? Yes Skin? Yes Ingestion? Yes
Health Hazards(Acute and Chronic): May be eye irritant. Prolonged or repeated exposure to skin may result in dermatitis. In halation – high vapor concentrations may be irritating to the nose, respiratory tract, and may cause CNS depression, evidenced in giddiness, dizziness and nausea. In extreme cases, unconsciousness and death may occur. Ingestion – may result in vomiting. Aspiration of vomits into the lungs must be avoided, even as small quantities may result in aspiration pneumotitis. In severe cases, death may occur.
Carcinogenicity: NTP? No (ARC Monographs)? No OSHA Regulated? No
Medical conditions aggravated by exposure: preexisting eye, skin and respiratory disorders may e aggravated by exposure to this product.
Emergency and First Aid Procedures: Eyes and skin – Flush with water. If irritation persists, see physician. Inhalation – remove to fresh air and administer artificial oxygen/artificial respiration if needed. Consult a physician immediately. Ingestion – Do NOT induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, spontaneously keep heads below hips to prevent aspiration of liquid into lungs. Get medical attention..
SECTION VII . Precautions for Safe Handling and Use
Steps to Be Taken In Case Material is Released or Spilled: No smoking! Keep ignition sources and hot metal surfaces away from spill. Dike and contain large spills. Small
spills may be picked up with absorbent and placed in non-leaking containers for disposal.
Waste Disposal Method: Seal and label containers properly and dispatch to approved waste disposal facility to incinerate in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Prevent spills from entering sewer, storm drains, an d natural waterways.
Precautions For Storing and Handling: Keep away from heat, acids and oxidizing agents. Store in tightly sealed, preferably full containers.
Other Precautions: Do not contaminate with unknown chemicals. Even empty containers may contain explosive vapors. Do not cut, drill, grind, weld or perform other similar functions.
SECTION VIII - Control Measures
Respiratory Protection (Specify Type): Explosion proof ventilation as required to control vapor concentrations within suggested PEL/TLV..
