SECTION IV - FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD

Flash Point (Method Used): 177 deg F          Flammable limits: Not Applicable      LEL: 1.3          UEL 8.8

Extinguishing Media: Foam, C02, dry chemical, water fog.

Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Combustible liquid.  Material can accumulate static charges which can cause an incendiary electrical discharge.  Avoid spraying water directly into containers due to danger of boil over.

Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Containers exposed to intense heat from fire should be cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure build-up which could result in container rupture.  A volatile liquid, it gives off invisible vapors.  Either the liquid or the vapors may settle in low areas or travel long distance along the ground or surface to ignition sources where they may ignite or explode.

Carcinogenicity; NTP?  No               (ARC Monographs)?  No                   OSHA Regulated?                  No

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Preexisting eye, skin and respiratory disorders may be aggravated by exposure to this product.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures:. Flush eyes and skin with water. If Irritation of eyes, persists, see physician.  Inhalation – remove victim to fresh air and provide oxygen/artificial respiration if needed; Get medical attention.  Ingestion – Do NOT induce vomiting.  If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep head below hips to prevent aspiration of liquid into lungs .  Call physician.

SECTION VII . Precautions for Safe Handling and Use

Steps to Be Taken In Case Material is Released or Spilled: Keep source of ignition and hot metal surfaces away from spill.  Dike and contain large spills.  Small spills may be picked up with absorbent and placed in non-leaking containers for disposal.

Other Precautions: Keep container closed when not In use.  Even empty containers may contain explosive vapors.  Do not cut, drill, grind, weld or perform similar operations on or near containers.

SECTION VIII - Control Measures

Respiratory Protection (Specify Type): Local exhaust ventilation is recommended to control process emissions near the source.  If TLV is exceeded, NIOSH/MSHA approved respirators may be necessary.

Protective Gloves: Chemical resistant

Eye Protection: Safety glasses with side shields

Other Protective Clothing or Equipment: Safety shower, eye bath and washing facilities.
